It’s your wedding day! The ceremony is at 4:00 PM and you got an early start getting ready with your bridal party. By 2:00 PM most of the pictures are taken, everyone looks flawless, people are beginning to get restless, the best man is trying to convince your groom to take another shot of whiskey to ‘calm the nerves,’ and you’re not sure what to do next. You still have 2 hours to wait and your nervous energy is urging you to eat your anxiety.

We’d like to offer a simple solution that keeps everyone busy, keeps the schedule on track, and relieves stress all at the same time. Have your wedding rehearsal the day of your wedding! We’re not kidding and we’re not crazy! Imagine the above scenario, but instead of having nothing to do for 2 hours, your wedding party meets for breakfast and a rehearsal before you all separate to get ready. Everyone starts the day fed, happy, and prepared.
Still not convinced? Let’s get to some specific reasons why having a same-day rehearsal makes so much sense you’ll wonder why you didn’t think of it sooner.
Travel Time:
You’re bound to have friends and family coming in from various parts of the country. If your rehearsal is the same day as the wedding you’re giving them a little buffer time in case of travel emergencies.
Hyper-Focus:
You will likely have some nervous energy that needs a positive outlet. The same can be said about the rest of your wedding party. Why not give everyone something to focus on? Everyone will be excited and in a wedding frame of mind. Add that to having the rehearsal fresh in everyone’s minds and your day is set to go off without a hitch—you just have to get hitched!
Relax and Enjoy the Moment:
You’ve probably spent at least a year planning your wedding. The months leading up to the big day have been hectic. Why not relax with your favorite people the night before your wedding? Take time to enjoy your friends and family from out of town. Your wedding day will go by fast enough, take the night before to slow down and bask in the glory of all your hard work. With the rehearsal scheduled for the wedding day, the night before should be stress free!
